The bible says that without faith, it is impossible to please God.
Now, let us look at what faith is.
Hebrew 11:1 defines faith as “the substance of things hoped for…” Substance is like the tangibility of a thing, it’s like what you hold on to. It’s like saying what is the substance of this matter? It means what is the real meat of this matter, what is the core of this matter.
In the journey between hope and faith, in the middle, you’ll find the word of God. You actually transcend from hope to faith, because you have infused God’s word into the matter. So faith is the substance because the word of God now becomes the substance that makes what you are hoping for to become faith. That is why faith does not fail, because the word of God does not fail. The bible says “without faith, it is impossible to please God ”, we can paraphrase and say “without the substance of the things hoped for, it is impossible to please God”.
The way life is, you act out what you have inside. If African Magic is all you have inside, you would be acting drama all your life. If the life of the enemy is what fills you up, you would be living in contrast with the word of God, because you would be living those lies. If the word of God is what fills you up, you’ll be acting in tandem with God because his words fills you up and in so doing, you please God.
We know that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God, so you act from your core. You act from what is on the inside and it is a progressive journey, it doesn’t mean you need to have ALL the word of God inside you before you please God, but the bible says without it, it is impossible. For those who do not have the word of God in them at all, it’s impossible, they can’t please God. But when you start to grow, you start to please God and it grows and grows from there.
